Red Flower Shop on Prince Street

Stepping in to Red Flower is like entering your own cave of peace. Clean aromatic scents fill the eclectically decorated space. The story behind Red Flower is just as beautiful as the products founder and CEO Yael Alkalay has come to create. As a child Yael experimented with botanical extracts and watched her mother boil flowers and blend essential oils. She comes from a long line of Turkish grand Rabbis, Kiev musicians, Argentinian farmers and her grandfather was the first dermatologist in Bulgaria. All such rich roots contributing to the first seeds of Red Flower.

Behind each product at Red Flower is a ritual, something Yael has intentionally created through her love of land, spirituality and passion for wellness. Influenced by travels and heritage, items are created around cultural body care rituals such as Onsens from Japan and Hammams from Turkey. Botanically based, 100% vegetarian, cruelty- and paraben-free, Red Flower is a marriage of science and holistic medicine. What started out as six flower candles and two organic flower teas has blossomed in to a beautiful array of products that are both therapeutic and ritualistic.

"Red Flower’s mission is a lifelong project, a commitment to creating environmentally and socially responsible products that turn consumers into contributors to the world at large, creating harmony with themselves and their surroundings"

Rachel Comey New York Flagship Store

Rachel Comey Flagship at 95 Crosby Street, NYC

Tucked away from busy SoHo on the cobbled streets of Crosby Street is Rachel Comey’s long awaited flagship store. The New York based cool-girl brand has had a cult following for over 10 years with her artful and playful fashion full of bold prints and textures.

Spring comes to Rachel Comey

Rachel Comey’s store is worth the trip if not just for the clothes then for the space. In a collaborative effort, Rachel Comey, architect Elizabeth Roberts and interior designer Charles De Lisle turned the former mechanic's garage into a space that boasts both warm minimalism and a relaxed rich atmosphere. The center shoe display is made of stones collected from a local beach, concrete and pumice stones sourced from the facility where Rachel Comey denim is stone washed. Clothes hang from custom brushed brass racks while accessories populate the recessed vignettes throughout the store. A true gem of New York City!
