About Jerry Seinfeld
In 1954, Jerome Allen Seinfeld was born in New York City. During his early comedy career, Seinfeld appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson as well as Jerry Seinfeld's Stand-Up Confidential, an HBO special. In 1989, fame pounced on the young comedian when he created Seinfeld, one of the most successful sitcoms in history. TV Guide named Seinfeld the #1 Greatest Show of All Time, and Seinfeld quotes like "Yada Yada Yada" and "No soup for you" are part of popular culture. Today, he spends much of his time touring, which you can see for yourself with Jerry Seinfeld tickets.
Over ten years after the final "show about nothing," fans still memorize Seinfeld episodes and watch syndication reruns on TV. Starring Jerry Seinfeld as a fictionalized version of himself, the NBC show had a nine-year run. Seinfeld took place in the Big Apple and featured Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Elaine Benes, Jerry's ex-girlfriend; Jason Alexander as George Costanza, Jerry's friend; and Michael Richards as Cosmo Kramer, the weird neighbor. And who can forget Jerry's nemesis, Newman the postman? Seinfeld ended in 1998.3
